Boiler Tube

Steam turbine power plants require a large amount of tubing, the grade of steel used to produce the tubes is determined by the location within the power plant. Ranging from 9% CrMoV such as T91 for temperatures up to 600°C, through to austenitic stainless steels for superheaters operating at 700°C.

Key requirements of these steels are:

  • Creep rupture strength
  • Corrosion resistance
  • Weldability

Corus supply heat treated bar suitable for the production of seamless tubing.

Rolled rounds                25 – 381mm dia.
